My Idea and Saatchi & Saatchi

I’m not really allowed to say too much about what’s going on.

But, I will say that, as a group, we responded to a brief set by Saatchi & Saatchi. I just got word from the agency that they will be using my idea. I have been offered a week of work placement with them, to take during the summer, I assume.

All very good news. Hopefully I will be able to reveal my idea at some point.

Saatchi Brief

I’m a little excited that next week, as part of my uni course, I will be given a live brief to work on by Saatchi and Saatchi. This is a huge opportunity for expansion of portfolio and networking. I’d best make sure my creative cap is on.

Obviously they shot to fame after their campaign to get Thatcher into No.10 succeeded. I may forgive them this for the opportunity next week.

Condom Ad Viral

Very funny, if not a tad disturbing viral ad to encourage the use of condoms.

It reminded me of some funny condom ambient advertising. I can imagine a condom brand being a great brand to pitch for.

From Seed To Sapling

Over the past few weeks at Uni we’ve split ourselves into 16 agency groups of 5 members each. We named ourselves Top Hat Advertising – our first pitch was for a live ย project, briefed to us by Sowing SEEDS.ย Their budget was ยฃ25,000 and they wanted us to conceive of a 12 month schedule for promotional activity to raise awareness of their funding programme.ย This morning we received the feedback from our pitch.

From a long list of 16 agencies, we have been shortlisted along with 2 others. Sowing SEEDS look like they may implement some of our tactics, which makes for very exciting news, as two of the BIG executional ideas were conceived by myself. I’m now hoping we can negotiate a fee for our work.

I’ll be sure to keep updating the progress of this.
